G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode 2: "New Recruits (Part 1)"

One of the Pro/Con things about using Instagram as the place for my G.I. Joe photo comic, was I had a maximum of 10 photos per post to tell a story. This actually helped me to keep the stories more concise which was some thing I've had issues with when working on other photo comics in the past.

Be sure to click on each photo to expand it for easier reading, and check back at the end for more Director's commentary.

When you're reading a comic book, each page is made up of a various number of boxes with images in them, but a photo comic? Typically each page is just one big panel, so your stories take a bit longer to tell.

With this story arc, "New Recruits", it could have been one GIANT 30-panel comic, but it had to be broken up into smaller chunks to work over on Instagram.

Below is a never before seen video that takes place directly after Scoop yelled for Stretcher's help.

Here Stretcher slides by on his flying platform, snags Tripwire and slides off camera with him. I typically liked to end episodes with "To be continued..." and if I end on a video, I can't put in more then one text bubble, so opted to just use the still photo I chose.

On to Part 2 of "New Recruits"!

G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode 35: "To go boldly..."

Man a LOT of time has lapsed between putting new episodes of the comic up hasn't it?  Episode 34 debuted on July 7th 2022 and episode 35 wouldn't debut until December 31st 2022- and exactly thirty minutes from midnight to boot!  Alot of insanity has cropped up in my personal life prohibiting me from doing more photo shoots and progressing the story as I wanted it to, but from chaos comes order (so to speak). Episode 35 is monumental because it's the start of a new concurrent story arc that will be taking place parallel to the " The Rescue of Deep Six " story arc I've been showing since 2021.  I'm really enjoying this other story arc and I hope you all well too. As usual, click the photos to enlarge them for easier viewing and check after the last photo for some more Director's commentary! Okay fun Fact? I totally didn't remember that the first episode of this series was titled "To bodly go...", so it's rather appropriate that this ne...

G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode : 30 "Dreadnoks: Toy Scalpers"

What? More Dreadnoks hijinks with Road Pig and Cyrus Borg?? Don't threaten me with a good time! We find Road Pig and Cyrus entering the Flight Hanger of The Deep  to go out in search of more living toys to capture.  More Director's commentary information after the last panel and make sure to click each image to expand it for easier reading! There was a BUNCH of things that got clipped off due to the square frame of Instagram, like the Aero-Viper working on the front module of the Cobra Condor Z25 . I didn't show any more of it as, well if you have never seen the Cobra Condor up close the thing is like a pickaxe. It's HUGE. The entire jet would have eclipsed the hanger set, but as I wanted to show some of it, I opted go show just the front half.  Here is an unused shot of the Aero-Viper possibly talking to Road Pig and Cyrus as they walk by, but it was cut as it really wasn't necessary.  I ended up selling the Cobra Condor Z25 off in 2022 because it just didn't ...

G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode : Mini Episode "Christmas Time & Rock 'n Roll"

This was a mini 5-panel episode I threw together once inspiration struck on or around January 13th of this year (2023). I was packing up our Christmas tree ornaments and saw my old 1983 Rock 'n Roll figure amongst the decorations. This was the first real time I had a few minutes to fiddle around with him in years and, since the core G.I. Joe: 3.75 Division was in storage...he was a member of that team that was not. This meant I had a character tie back to the core storyline and he would allow me to go into a "spin-off" of sorts. Enter this episode. As per usual, click the photos to enlarge them for easier viewing and check afterwards for more Director's commentary! My cousin Johnny who is a good 10 years my senior, got into G.I. Joe waaaay back in 1982 when it first came out. Then, as far as I can remember, around 1985 or early 1986 he got "to old for it" and gave his entire 1982-to-1985, Joe collection to me.  I found a random photo in my parent's photo...
