G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode : 20 "The Fall of Destro (Part 2)"

Man we are just 20 episodes in and there is still  more crazy stuff to show off yet.  This next episode is where I tried to kick things up a notch and really showcase how my version of Cobra Commander is not  to be underestimated.  The same as the previous 19 episodes, click the photos to enlarge them for easier viewing and check after the last photo for some more Director's commentary!! The entire point of this episode was to show just who this toy of Cobra Commander really is as a villian. Writing for villainous leaders can be extremely "cookie-cutter" and its hard to not get sucked into certain tropes ( although I did  ape a line from Thanos.. ). When writing his backstory I made sure to keep some traits about his personality at the forefront: Ruthless, No-Nonsense and Efficient. This Cobra Commander doesn't needlessly kill his minions or troops as it's a waste of resources. He doesn't rule through fear, more so through unity. He and everyone else are Cobra

G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode : 19 "The Fall of Destro (Part 1)"

Oh boy. This... this  was a big one. Remember during my commentary on the " Arise, Destro, Arise! " episode? Specifically how that episode was setting up for something else? Well this 3-part Story Arc is that something else. After having the Iron Grenadiers toys for a while, and being super excited to get them after looking at them in G.I. Joe pamphlet for decades, I ended up not having a use for a 3rd faction within the G.I. Joe: 3.75 Division  story universe.  As usual, click the photos to enlarge them for easier viewing and check after the last photo for some more Director's commentary! It just didn't make sense story wise to have the Iron Grenadiers running around trying to take out both G.I. Joe AND Cobra. It just muddled things too much. So the best way to give these toys a good send off was to show just how powerful and ruthless Cobra Commander and his army truly are. I ended up selling off all of these Iron Grenadiers toys except for x2 Annihilators, a vehicl

G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode : 18 "Don't Splash in the Pool"

This is a very video heavy episode, just because moving water carries more weight when seen in motion versus a still photograph. I had a lot  of fun shooting this episode, and it is easily one of my favorites of the first 20 I shot. As per usual, click on each image or video to view them clearer and check after the last panel for Director's commentary and behind the scenes information! This episode was a TON of fun to shoot. I took a large zip lock plastic baggie and actually put my cell phone inside it in order to get alot of these underwater shots. It was a BIG risk but I felt the results came out really fun and awesome. Splashdown is one of my favorite Autobot Pretenders, and he just has a really slick look. His armor reminds me of the Shocking Shark Battle Beasts  playset, and as Battle Beasts started in Japan as Beastformers , part of me wonders if it was intentional or not. There were not alot of deleted scenes in this episode, but there were some alternate ones where I did v

New Character Bios: Episode 1-through-17

I'm sure no one knows this, but I love file cards, bio cards, tech specs, etc on toys. You can look at a toy and think it's cool, and then you read how it's a bad-ass marksman, or can shoot fire out of its eyes, etc. After that it's just 100% cooler to me, most of the time. So I love writing Bios up for all the characters in my comics, so here are some more Bios from new characters that were introduced over the past 17 episodes. More bios are on the way, I just need to write them. Oh and as usual, click the photos below to enlarge them for easier viewing. More bios will be put up here on the blog as we move further down through the other half of the G.I. Joe: 3.75 Division  initial 34+ episodes.
