G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode : 30 "Dreadnoks: Toy Scalpers"

What? More Dreadnoks hijinks with Road Pig and Cyrus Borg?? Don't threaten me with a good time! We find Road Pig and Cyrus entering the Flight Hanger of The Deep  to go out in search of more living toys to capture.  More Director's commentary information after the last panel and make sure to click each image to expand it for easier reading! There was a BUNCH of things that got clipped off due to the square frame of Instagram, like the Aero-Viper working on the front module of the Cobra Condor Z25 . I didn't show any more of it as, well if you have never seen the Cobra Condor up close the thing is like a pickaxe. It's HUGE. The entire jet would have eclipsed the hanger set, but as I wanted to show some of it, I opted go show just the front half.  Here is an unused shot of the Aero-Viper possibly talking to Road Pig and Cyrus as they walk by, but it was cut as it really wasn't necessary.  I ended up selling the Cobra Condor Z25 off in 2022 because it just didn't ...

G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode : 29 "Workin' 9 to 5.. (Part 2)"

Part 2 of "Workin' 9 to 5.." is here. Yes it was very fast, because, well, the episode was made in September of 2021. Anyways, I talked way to much at the beginning of the last post, so I'll keep this one short and sweet. Be sure to click each image to expand it for easier reading and then look at the director's commentary after the last panel! Okay this story arc is unique in this series as we will come back to this, but not directly after Part 2. This was mostly because I didn't have quite enough photos to make a 3rd part and needed to touch on some other story arcs too.  Again, most of the unused photos from this shoot are getting used elsewhere, but this was a two panel section that I had to clip into just one panel. It was one of the Techno-Vipers calling out to One to ask about the Animus Ale they wanted and it just used too much space to have two separate panels. That first panel would have been cropped off on Instagram so the readers wouldn't see O...

G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode : 28 "Workin' 9 to 5.. (Part 1)"

Okay this is a more light-hearted episode showing what goes on behind the scenes at Cobra in their underwater base known as: The Deep ( no association to the movie of the same name, I just forgot that existed ). Specifically a moment in the day to day operations of Cobra's three Techno-Vipers. Before we jump into the episode, I'm gonna drop a little world building information on you guys to help understand why things are the way they are. In the toy world, all Vipers/Troopers are supposed to be the nameless, faceless soldiers of some organization, but as action figures that were brought to life? It's a little different. Why? Well because alot of these troopers have been animated since the late 1980's or the mid 1990's and in that time, they tend to develop personalities and become more individualized then they ever were meant to be.  This can be a problem if, say, a Track Viper in Cobra wants to be a farmer and has no desire to drive the special H.I.S.S. II vehicl...

G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode : 27 "Ground Control to Captain Roth"

This was an important character building episode for figure I've had in my collection since it came out in 1987: Windmill and the Skystorm X-Wing Chopper. Out of all the G.I. Joe vehicles I got 2nd hand AND owned as a kid or collector- Windmill and his vehicle I never wanted to part with. It's like a M.A.S.K. vehicle for cripes sake, as it can transform from a helicopter to a jet and back.  I also felt his backstory touched on in his Bio ( see post HERE for that ) needed to be expanded from Capt. Roth, aka Windmill himself.  So, without further ado, click the photos below to enlarge them for easier viewing and check after the last photo for some more Director's commentary! *Whew*, this was a deep episode folks. I pulled alot of Windmill's guilt from my own personal experiences, as I was writing this episode and the entire comic in the Spring/Summer of 2021 which was REALLY traumatic for me and my family. My wife and I got into a bad car accident in mid January of '2...

G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode : 26 "Dead Men Tell No Tales (Part 2)"

One of the things I enjoy the most about writing this photo comic is being able to take the obscure, un-liked, un-wanted and generally un-popular G.I. Joe figures and make them my own.  Is it from the Neon 90's ? I'll take it. Is it a character who has no real business being in G.I. Joe like Raptor or Crystal Ball? I'll take them  and  I'll make them bad-ass. So read on true believers and as usual, click the photos to enlarge them for easier viewing and check after the last panel for Director's commentary and behind the scenes information! Torturing Deep Six wasn't fun, but having more time with Interrogator and introducing Crystal Ball into the story was very fun for me. Crystal Ball was always one of those characters that didn't seem like a G.I. Joe character, but he's an awesome action figure. There are rumors that Stephen King ( yes that  Stephen King ) wrote his file card as his son, Owen, was a HUGE G.I. Joe fan, which could explain how weird the...
