G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode : 31 "Unorthodox Methods (Part 1)"

Okay, this is the 2nd to last episode that went up in 2021. We are back in Dr. Mindbender's laboratory where he is showing Cobra Commander how he drains the ambient Kreateium energy from toys.

If you look at the first panel, you can see the fate befallen the poor Lego Fabuland mini figures from back in Episode 14.

As per the norm, click the photos to enlarge them for easier viewing and check after the last panel for Director's commentary and behind the scenes information!

With this 2-part episode, I really wanted to showcase Dr. Mindbender's laboratory as a real set piece that I could resist for future episodes. So I shot a BUNCH of photos in there before dismantling it. Again I figured toys would use whatever building materials they could find, so they got a hold of some alluminum foil, cardboard and tape and made his laboratory that way.

Since this happened, I got a hold of some Extreme-Sets and as they are cardboard AND designed to be set up and broken down easily, I opted to switch things up.

This goes with the story as Cobra Commander throws more human money at the good doctor to further his research and thus leads to a better more "professional" looking mad scientist laboratory.

As far as deleted scenes go in this episode, we have 2 photos of Dr Mindbender and Cobra Commander sort of "laughing maniacally" together. I opted to not use them as it kind of does "fit" into my version of Cobra Commander. He's more stoic and serious and not really one to throw his hands in the air and cackle like a madman.

Next up I have an alternate video from Panel #9 that didn't work as you can hear my son making loud noises in the background. You can _kinda_ hear him in the actual video I used, but it was low enough in volume that I was still able to use it.

Onto Part 2 of "Unorthodox Methods"!

G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode 35: "To go boldly..."

Man a LOT of time has lapsed between putting new episodes of the comic up hasn't it?  Episode 34 debuted on July 7th 2022 and episode 35 wouldn't debut until December 31st 2022- and exactly thirty minutes from midnight to boot!  Alot of insanity has cropped up in my personal life prohibiting me from doing more photo shoots and progressing the story as I wanted it to, but from chaos comes order (so to speak). Episode 35 is monumental because it's the start of a new concurrent story arc that will be taking place parallel to the " The Rescue of Deep Six " story arc I've been showing since 2021.  I'm really enjoying this other story arc and I hope you all well too. As usual, click the photos to enlarge them for easier viewing and check after the last photo for some more Director's commentary! Okay fun Fact? I totally didn't remember that the first episode of this series was titled "To bodly go...", so it's rather appropriate that this ne...

G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode : 30 "Dreadnoks: Toy Scalpers"

What? More Dreadnoks hijinks with Road Pig and Cyrus Borg?? Don't threaten me with a good time! We find Road Pig and Cyrus entering the Flight Hanger of The Deep  to go out in search of more living toys to capture.  More Director's commentary information after the last panel and make sure to click each image to expand it for easier reading! There was a BUNCH of things that got clipped off due to the square frame of Instagram, like the Aero-Viper working on the front module of the Cobra Condor Z25 . I didn't show any more of it as, well if you have never seen the Cobra Condor up close the thing is like a pickaxe. It's HUGE. The entire jet would have eclipsed the hanger set, but as I wanted to show some of it, I opted go show just the front half.  Here is an unused shot of the Aero-Viper possibly talking to Road Pig and Cyrus as they walk by, but it was cut as it really wasn't necessary.  I ended up selling the Cobra Condor Z25 off in 2022 because it just didn't ...

G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode : Mini Episode "Christmas Time & Rock 'n Roll"

This was a mini 5-panel episode I threw together once inspiration struck on or around January 13th of this year (2023). I was packing up our Christmas tree ornaments and saw my old 1983 Rock 'n Roll figure amongst the decorations. This was the first real time I had a few minutes to fiddle around with him in years and, since the core G.I. Joe: 3.75 Division was in storage...he was a member of that team that was not. This meant I had a character tie back to the core storyline and he would allow me to go into a "spin-off" of sorts. Enter this episode. As per usual, click the photos to enlarge them for easier viewing and check afterwards for more Director's commentary! My cousin Johnny who is a good 10 years my senior, got into G.I. Joe waaaay back in 1982 when it first came out. Then, as far as I can remember, around 1985 or early 1986 he got "to old for it" and gave his entire 1982-to-1985, Joe collection to me.  I found a random photo in my parent's photo...
