G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode 4: "New Recruits (Part 3)"

Part 3 really heats up with another amazing Joe vehicle given to the 3.75 Division team. I have wanted this one for YEARS so I was so excited to be able to finally get it.

As usual, be sure to click the photos to view them clearer and check after the last photo for more Director's commentary!

One of the things I am really enjoying about re-posting these episodes in Blogspot, is that you guys can finally see them outside the square photo format of Instagram. It's almost like going to a wide-screen format from a standard one so there are all sorts of details that got clipped off when these images and videos were on Instagram. The last panel/video with Tripwire fainting due to Trader Toy blinking away is seen a bit more here, although you can still make out my hand holding Stretcher.

Shooting Trader's teleporting in of the Retaliator was tricky and took me 3 takes to finally nail it right. Below are the 1st and 2nd attempts that did NOT turn out quite right.

These next two "bloopers" were for the end panel when Trader teleports away. He has a flare for the dramatic and jokes alot so he totally took advantage to say goodbye to a captain ala Spock from Star Trek. I also added a teleporting sound effect when he blinks in and out, but looking back now I'm not sure how much I like it. The whole gimmick is that it's totally silent, thus when he just *blinks in*, it startles everybody. Hard to get startled when you hear a sound first.

The running gag in these few episodes was that Tripwire is easily startled by Trader's teleporting away, so in these two first draft videos, Tripwire actually gets lines, runs around afraid, and ducks off camera with Stretcher following him.

I hadn't watched these in almost 2 years so they gave even me a good laugh. But it's silly stuff like this which is why I keep making these stories.

Onto Part 4!

G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode 35: "To go boldly..."

Man a LOT of time has lapsed between putting new episodes of the comic up hasn't it?  Episode 34 debuted on July 7th 2022 and episode 35 wouldn't debut until December 31st 2022- and exactly thirty minutes from midnight to boot!  Alot of insanity has cropped up in my personal life prohibiting me from doing more photo shoots and progressing the story as I wanted it to, but from chaos comes order (so to speak). Episode 35 is monumental because it's the start of a new concurrent story arc that will be taking place parallel to the " The Rescue of Deep Six " story arc I've been showing since 2021.  I'm really enjoying this other story arc and I hope you all well too. As usual, click the photos to enlarge them for easier viewing and check after the last photo for some more Director's commentary! Okay fun Fact? I totally didn't remember that the first episode of this series was titled "To bodly go...", so it's rather appropriate that this ne...

G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode : 30 "Dreadnoks: Toy Scalpers"

What? More Dreadnoks hijinks with Road Pig and Cyrus Borg?? Don't threaten me with a good time! We find Road Pig and Cyrus entering the Flight Hanger of The Deep  to go out in search of more living toys to capture.  More Director's commentary information after the last panel and make sure to click each image to expand it for easier reading! There was a BUNCH of things that got clipped off due to the square frame of Instagram, like the Aero-Viper working on the front module of the Cobra Condor Z25 . I didn't show any more of it as, well if you have never seen the Cobra Condor up close the thing is like a pickaxe. It's HUGE. The entire jet would have eclipsed the hanger set, but as I wanted to show some of it, I opted go show just the front half.  Here is an unused shot of the Aero-Viper possibly talking to Road Pig and Cyrus as they walk by, but it was cut as it really wasn't necessary.  I ended up selling the Cobra Condor Z25 off in 2022 because it just didn't ...

G.I. Joe- 3.75 Division Episode : 18 "Don't Splash in the Pool"

This is a very video heavy episode, just because moving water carries more weight when seen in motion versus a still photograph. I had a lot  of fun shooting this episode, and it is easily one of my favorites of the first 20 I shot. As per usual, click on each image or video to view them clearer and check after the last panel for Director's commentary and behind the scenes information! This episode was a TON of fun to shoot. I took a large zip lock plastic baggie and actually put my cell phone inside it in order to get alot of these underwater shots. It was a BIG risk but I felt the results came out really fun and awesome. Splashdown is one of my favorite Autobot Pretenders, and he just has a really slick look. His armor reminds me of the Shocking Shark Battle Beasts  playset, and as Battle Beasts started in Japan as Beastformers , part of me wonders if it was intentional or not. There were not alot of deleted scenes in this episode, but there were some alternate ones where I ...
